Red Deer & Innisfail Realtors I Trust: Meet the Blair Team
- Who: the Blair Team, a four-person team at RE/MAX real estate central alberta: Darcy Blair (Associate Broker), Nicole Blair, Ty Elliott and Caleb Heinrichs.
- Where: based at 5008 50th Street in Innisfail, with a second address at 4440 49th Avenue in Red Deer. They cover Red Deer, Innisfail, Penhold, Sylvan Lake, Blackfalds, Lacombe, Bowden, Olds and the rural county around them.
- Track record you can check: 5.0 stars from 59 Google reviews, a 99% RankMyAgent rating from 55 reviews, and 98% recommend on Facebook from 39 reviews (all read November 2, 2026).
- Recognition: named Best Real Estate Agent for the Innisfail/Bowden region in The Albertan's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards.
- Why I refer them: I'm a Calgary agent. When my clients buy or sell in Red Deer or Innisfail, I want them with a team that lives and works there. Visit the Blair Team.
When a client tells me, "Ben, we're moving to Red Deer, can you help?", or a parent is downsizing to Innisfail, or a Calgary seller also owns a rental up the QEII, my answer is the same. I'm a Calgary agent, and I'm happy to stay on my own turf. Central Alberta deserves people who drive those streets every day, know which acreage roads drift in, and have a contact list built over years in those towns. For Red Deer and Innisfail, those people are the Blair Team.
This page explains who they are, what their clients say, what the local market looks like right now, and how to reach them. Every number here comes from a source I've linked at the bottom, with the date I read it.

The Blair Team is a real estate team with RE/MAX real estate central alberta. It's led by husband-and-wife REALTORS® Darcy and Nicole Blair, with Ty Elliott and Caleb Heinrichs on the team. Their home base is the RE/MAX office at 5008 50th Street in Innisfail. Their website also lists a second address at 4440 49th Avenue in Red Deer. The main office line is 403-348-9218.
According to their own bio, both Darcy and Nicole were raised in Central Alberta and studied at Red Deer College. Nicole joined RE/MAX in 2009 and Darcy followed in 2010. The pair later owned their own office, RE/MAX Compass, which then merged into RE/MAX real estate central alberta, and they joined the management team of the combined brokerage. That's a long time in one region, and it shows in how their clients write about them.
Who's on the team, and what does each person do?
Team photos: the Blair Team (from blairteamrealestate.ca).
Darcy Blair, Associate Broker
Darcy co-founded the team with Nicole. On his REALTOR.ca profile he writes that his experience includes "over 1000 transactions" and describes his approach as "strategic guidance, honest advice, and consistent results." His team bio says he has served on local boards, including Innisfail Minor Hockey, the Innisfail Historical Village and the Innisfail Chamber of Commerce. It also says he has sat on the Central Alberta REALTORS® Association board since 2023 and its finance committee since 2021. When an agent volunteers for the local board, that tells me they care about how the whole market runs, not just their own listings.
Nicole Blair, REALTOR®
Nicole started the team's RE/MAX story in 2009. The awards listed on her own team page include induction into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, a RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023 and the RE/MAX 15-Year Award in 2024. One client review sums up the two of them better than I can:
"Nicole is a straight shooter. I can't tell you how much I appreciated her black and white approach. Darcy is calm, cool and collected at all times."
Ty Elliott, REALTOR®
Ty was born and raised in Red Deer and got into real estate in early 2021, according to his profile. He's also an on-ice official in the WHL and other Alberta leagues, so he's used to staying calm when things get heated. Several reviews mention him by name, including this one:
"Ty is the best. He was patient and took the time out to know the type of home we were look for. In fact, the house that we ended up with is the one he showed us as a surprise because he though that it would be perfect for us."
Caleb Heinrichs, Sales Representative
Caleb is another Red Deer native. His profile describes him as competitive and hard-working, a trait he credits to growing up in a family of five boys. He's newer to the team than the Blairs, but he's already showing up in reviews:
"Nicole and Darcy as well as Caleb helped me greatly. The market was hard but they never let me give up trying to find a suitable home for me."
Where does the Blair Team work?
Their website features Innisfail, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Penhold, Blackfalds, Lacombe and Bowden, plus wider Central Alberta. Their bio adds Olds and Springbrook. The listings featured on their site when I read it on November 2, 2026 included homes in Red Deer, Innisfail, Penhold and Sylvan Lake, and land parcels near Innisfail.
That geography matters. If you're leaving Calgary for Central Alberta, Red Deer proper isn't the only option. Penhold, Blackfalds or an acreage outside Innisfail might suit you better. A team that works all of those towns can show you the trade-offs side by side, so you don't need a different agent for each one.
What do their clients say about them?
Here's how the Blair Team's public reviews looked when I checked on November 2, 2026:
| Platform | Rating | Reviews | Where I read it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5.0 out of 5 (58 five-star, 1 four-star) | 59 | Birdeye's public profile, which pulls in their Google reviews | |
| RankMyAgent | 99% (Professionalism 99%, Experience 99%) | 55 | Darcy's and Nicole's REALTOR.ca profiles |
| 98% recommend | 39 | The Blair Team Real Estate page |
Numbers only tell part of the story, so I read the reviews themselves. A few themes came up again and again: quick sales, patient buying, and clients who came back to the team for their second and third moves. Here are a few in the clients' own words, typos included:
"If I could give Darcy and Nicole more stars I would. They are a dream team and made the entire process of buying my first home extremely easy and fun."
"We had relocated to another province for work and decided to list our house sooner than originally anticipated. We did everything with the Blair Team strictly through email and phone. Talk about an easy and seemless process."
"We found the Blair Team to be very helpful with both the sale of our acreage and the purchase of a condo. They compared properties to determine market value."
The remote-sale review is the one I'd point my Calgary clients to. If you're selling a Red Deer property while living somewhere else, you need a team that can handle the whole thing without you there.
What makes them different from other Central Alberta agents?
A moving truck called "Mo"
This one made me smile. Clients mention being able to use the team's moving truck, which one review calls "Mo", after their deal closed. One Google reviewer called it "this well maintained moving truck with hydraulic lift." Another wrote:
"Even after purchase they went above and beyond allowing us to use their moving van. Professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with."
Ask the team directly about availability and terms when you talk to them.
Deep community roots
Their bio lists volunteer work with the Innisfail Food Bank and with Innisfail and Red Deer Minor Hockey. The food bank seems to agree. The Innisfail and District Food Bank left the team a Google review thanking them for lending the truck: "The truck was sooo helpful in moving the contents of the Food Bank this last weekend."
Local recognition
In The Albertan's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards, the Blair Team (RE/MAX Real Estate Central Alberta) won Best Real Estate Agent for the Innisfail and Bowden region. You can check that on The Albertan's published winners list. Their own website also lists RE/MAX recognition, including Chairman's Club certificates for 2020 through 2024 and Hall of Fame inductions for both Darcy and Nicole.
Acreages and small-town sales
Several of their reviews come from people who sold acreages or homes in smaller towns. One client on their testimonials page said the team "helped us sell our acreage after being listed only a week." Their site also publishes a guide called "Is Acreage Living Right for You?" If you're a Calgary buyer dreaming of space, this is the kind of local knowledge that keeps you away from a well, septic or road surprise you didn't see coming.

Red Deer's numbers aren't in Calgary's CREB® city reports. The Alberta REALTORS® Association publishes a monthly City of Red Deer report, using data from the Pillar 9™ MLS® System. Here's the latest one, for September 2026 (published October 2026):
| City of Red Deer, Sept 2026 | Sales | Average price | Change year over year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Detached | 93 | $505,893 | +7.5% |
| Semi-detached | 17 | $327,194 | −13.9% |
| Row / townhouse | 16 | $282,063 | +0.4% |
| Apartment | 11 | $229,995 | +16.1% |
| Total residential | 137 | $435,425 | +9.2% |
Source: Alberta REALTORS® Association, City of Red Deer Monthly Statistics, September 2026 (data: Pillar 9). Average prices can swing month to month with the mix of homes that sold.
Here's what stands out to me:
- Prices are still rising. The average residential price was up 9.2% year over year in September. Through the first nine months of 2026, the average was $420,086, up 4%.
- Buyers have more to choose from. Inventory was 382 homes, up 12.7% from a year earlier. Months of supply rose to 2.79.
- Sales are a little slower. There were 137 sales in September, down 4.2%, and 1,336 so far this year, down 7%.
For Calgary readers, here's a comparison. The same association's City of Calgary report shows 3.93 months of supply in September 2026, and a median residential price of $646,198. That's a median, not an average, so it isn't a perfect like-for-like comparison with Red Deer. Still, the gap is why Red Deer is worth a look for Calgary buyers: a detached house there averaged about $505,900 that month.
A citywide average won't price your house, though. A local team pulling recent sales on your street will. That's exactly what the Blair Team's free home valuation is for.
Why are so many people looking at Innisfail?
Innisfail sits on the Calgary–Edmonton corridor where Highway 2 meets Highway 54. The Town of Innisfail describes itself as "just 15 minutes south of Red Deer, and an hour north of Calgary." Its name comes from Inis Fáil, an Irish name for Ireland meaning "Isle of Destiny."
- Size: the Alberta Regional Dashboard puts Innisfail's 2025 population at 8,736, up 11.5% over five years. The 2021 federal census counted 7,985 people.
- Who it suits: people who want a small-town address and quick highway access in both directions. That includes Red Deer commuters, retirees, and families who want acreage-country space close to a town.
- Why the Blairs: their office is in downtown Innisfail, and they won the Readers' Choice for this region.
Red Deer or Calgary: what should Calgary movers know?
Red Deer is Alberta's third-largest city. The Alberta Regional Dashboard puts its 2025 population at 115,409, up 2.0% in a year. The City of Red Deer notes that the railway made it "a natural stopping place halfway between Edmonton and Calgary." That's still a big draw: you can reach both of Alberta's big cities without living in either one.
- Outdoor space: the City says Red Deer has more than 110 km of trails in the Waskasoo Park system.
- Price: see the table above. In September 2026, detached homes averaged about $505,900.
- Choice: with 2.79 months of supply in September, buyers had more choice than a year earlier.
When my Calgary clients sell here and buy in Red Deer or Innisfail, I take care of the Calgary side. I make sure the Central Alberta side goes to people I trust.
